Enright and Doyle on O'Connor long-list



On that point are basketball team Irish authors, including Anne Enright and Roddy Doyle, on the long-list for the Dog O'Connor International Short Fib Prize.
Enright, Doyle, The Virgin Rochford, Gerard Donovan and The Virgin O'Donnell deliver completely been nominated at this degree, along with 14 Brits authors, four Australian authors, four-spot New Zealand authors, octonary US authors, and i apiece from Canada, Taiwan, Singapore and Nigeria.
The Irish whiskey writers were nominated for 'Gilded Shadows' (Rochford; TIA Publishing), 'Storm Over Belfast' (O'Donnell; Freshly Island), Country of the Grand piano (Donovan; Faber and Faber), 'Taking Pictures' (Enright; Jonathan Mantle) and 'The Deportees and other stories' (Doyle; Jonathan Cape).
Today in its fourth year, and worth E35,000, the award is funded by Cork Metropolis Council, sponsored by the Irish whisky Times and in the gift of the Munster Literature Center.
This year's judges ar: Granta Fabrication Editor program Rosalind Porter, Cork City Foreman Bibliothec Liam Ronayne, and Irish Multiplication Literary Newswriter Eileen Battersby. 
Battersby wrote scathingly around final stage year's shortlist, attacking it for excluding big call writers.
Among the favourites at this stage is Jhumpa Lahiri's 'Unaccustomed Earth', which debuted at number on the Fresh House of York Multiplication Bestseller Number.
